Opportunities include, radio production and presenting, news gathering, social media and marketing. They are not always in the background but those who desire to do so are given real-time broadcast experience.

Dominic Martin

I'm Dominic, and I'm a Journalism student at the University of Bedfordshire.  Throughout my time at Secklow Sounds, I've been able to develop abilities in my chosen field, such as by utilising my skills interviewing and researching on actual projects and various things that are going on around Milton Keynes from large scale projects with schools across the town, to the opening of a humble cake shop, as well as learning how to present shows live on air. My time at Secklow so far hasn't just been informative in learning how the industry works - it's also been a lot of fun too!

Elisa Del Sette

My name is Elisa Del Sette, I am studying Broadcast Journalism at the University of Bedfordshire, my aim for when I graduate is to work hard towards being a radio or television presenter. The skills I would like to learn through this experience you have offered me are confidence, mixing skills, an understanding of the studio overall i.e.) how things work, interview techniques, and presenting techniques. I would love to have the opportunity to shadow a live show, or work with someone who can guide me in the right direction to having the confidence to go on air alone!

Francis Adeyemi
