Darts event with 1,000 spectators to be held in Milton Keynes this month

1,000 spectators will be allowed to attend a Premier League Darts event in Milton Keynes this month as the country comes out of lockdown.

The event will take place at the Marshall Area between May 24 and May 28, with fancy dress also being allowed for spectators.

However, face coverings will still be mandatory when walking around the arena.

It will be the first time a UK darts match has had an audience this year and comes as England is set to enter Phase 3 of the roadmap out of lockdown from 17th May.

A PDC spokesperson told The Sun newspaper: "We’re delighted that we’ll be able to welcome back crowds."

“It feels like such a long time since we last had a live crowd in December at the start of the World Championship."

“But we’ve continued to work with the relevant authorities regarding the safe return of fans to PDC tournaments at the appropriate time.”

Tickets for the event are set to go on sale next week and will be priced between £30 and £45.

Coverage of the event will also be broadcast live on Sky Sports TV.
