Graffiti hotspots in Milton Keynes to receive makeover with new protective coating treatment

Milton Keynes Council has been testing out some new technology in a bid to tackle graffiti.

Teams have been out across Milton Keynes cleaning up graffiti and applying brand new protective coats to the walls.

The clean and protect coat being used by the council has been classed as relatively new technology.

Cllr Lauren Townsend said: "It creates a surface that graffiti paint, spray paint and pens can't adhere to.

"It makes it much, much easier for our teams to then remove graffiti as and when it happens. So it's less recourse intensive, saves the tax payer and council money and also acts as a deterrent."

The coating is chemical free and safe for the environment.
